A Classic stamp set

This may be an older set but it is definitely a classic for masculine cards. It absolutely Rocks! I loved creating this simple card using this "geared up" set. 

This card was for an incredibly generous and caring man who drove several 6-9 year olds in his beautiful Corvette!!!  I made this as a thank you for making our day so special.

Destination Graduation!

When I'm not stamping or krafting I am a highschool teacher. I used to teach drama but I'm moving onto new things!!! 

As a highschool teacher I have a TA/homeroom of 23 students. I have been with these students through most of 3 years and I have been there for the good times and the bad. Every graduation year I make my graduates something to let them know how proud I am of them.  This year was different, I was not able to attend their graduation but I still want them to know how proud I am of them. 

Today I am krafting away so I can mail them all to my kids. 

I'm so proud of them!!!

Team Meetings

One part of belonging to the stampin'up family I love the most is the people I have met. There are so so so many great people invoked in stampin'up and it is literally a family.   Every month we have a team meeting where we usually get to see each other, be worth each other, create together, laugh together and learn together. My upline Rose Marie Coleman hosts these meetings and I truly learn so much and leave inspired everytime! 

We always create something new or have a creative challenge at these meetings so I've posted what I made below!

Playing with World of Good

Today, while trying not to freak out at my entire family, I decided to lock myself away in my kraftorium!!! 

I picked up the site one been working on and just started to create! I love how I feel after I have created something and I love how focused my brain feels while it's creating something.

I've been trying to get time everyday to create one thing. With three boys, two dogs and a husband this can prove to be difficult sometimes. However, today we had a team meeting and this is what we made! It was a super easy card and I will be demonstrating how to make it on my YouTube channel!!!

I love to give a little gift showcasing the new in-colours with my catalogue mailouts. So, I designed a bookmarks using the scrappy strip technique from Bruno Bertucci!

Mother's Day Success!!!

Who says you need to buy gifts?

I am super vulnerable now after being diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism so I did not go shopping.  I was going to order in-line and then I remembered my mom loves Poppies, so I used my puppies paper to make her some home decor! 

The best thing about stampin' ups' designer series paper is they lost all the colors that match with it and they match perfectly! 

I used three Painted Poppies stamp set and dies and accent colors of granny Apple Green, blackberry bliss, poppy parade and rich razzleberry. 

This put a great big smile on her face and was better than any gift I could've purchased!

More Mother's Day goodness!

Still creating Mother's Day Kards because they are needed!!! Mothering is the hardest job I have ever had and I'm a Drama teacher with ADD! It is a thankless job. You are always bring yelled at, having body fluids project onto you, blamed, and of course loved. It is important to shower our Mothers with all of the love we can on this very special day coming up. You can buy a card but your mom will appreciate it more of you make her one!

Mother's Day approaches

I love love love creating special cards for the superwomen in our lives! My mom has been there through thick and thin.  She had been there to dry my years and to celebrate life's milestones. Now, being a mother of three I understand all of the sacrifices she has made. Between all of the time and love she poured into our dinners and the strength she mustered up to get us through difficult times she is, and will always be, my hero.

So far I have finished 45 and given 20 to the a labour and delivery nurses! They are great and totally take the pressure off the ears from the masks. I'm so excited to drop these off to paramedic HQ but if you know someone who could use one of these let me know ☺️

This weekend I went through some things and long story short it ended in an ambulance ride. I'm ok. I have a pulmonary embolism but I am on meds and will get better. During my trip I asked thee paramedics what they need during this crazy time and after some discussion I discovered that they need relief from the masks they wear all day, everyday. So, I remember seeing nurses and posts about wearing a band with buttons on the back so that the mall attaches to that and not their ears. So, I got to sewing and have sewn over 100 and will drop them off to EMS Hedda quarters by Friday. 

Krafting for Kindness is the best kind of krafting!

Getting Ready

Tomorrow my on-line store will open and although I am super excited I am also a little nervous. What if they don't like it? What if no one byes anything? What if the store isn't ready? To all of these fears I say... Take a breath, you like it that's all that matters and everything that needs to be ready will be. 

I've been working hard to make sure there is a variety of kard kits to choose from and I think it's gonna be a great opening!

My new machine!!!

Okay, so after doing my BOGO sale and other sales I reached my goal and was able to buy my new brother scan and cut machine.  Introducing....Beatrice my cut machine!!! Yes, I do name my tools.

The first time I tried it, it was a major fail! The paper for stuck, it cut through the mat and it was a mess. So, I washed my Mat with warm water and dish soap and tried it again. This time I read and followed the instructions and it worked! After that, I was hooked. I learned how to cut in adhesive vinyl and thanks to my friend Jolene I also cut in heat transfer vinyl! 

This is only the tip of the iceberg, I can't wait to learn more.

Davis was freaking out about dressing difficult things like bunnies for his reading response today. So, instead of fighting we went down into my Kraftorium and picked out stamps that would work. 

Then, he stamped his picture... And we had a blast!

The best kind of stampin' is stampin' with a buddy!!! My son joined me for a live video of a shaker card that my friend Bonnie Sanche did using the Painted Poppies suite and we had a blast!!  

Future Stampin'up demonstrator...I think so!

Getting things ready!

This is my new light box! I finally set it up and started shooting! It is fantastic and I highly recommended one to anyone who needs to take good pictures of items. The set up was super easy, it comes with 4 different colour backgrounds and I just added some wood themed 12x12 which fit perfectly inside!! 

So now my pictures are better lit and look fabulous!!!

Krafting Kits coming soon!!!

So, part of moving my business on-line is making Kits to mail out to people who want them. So I hunkered down and got busy creating the first one! This krafty kit uses Stampin'up's super cute Birthday bonanza suite which is perfect for any birthday and includes 12 card bases and all of the supplies!!! 

This Krafty kit will be available for purchase from my Shopify and has the option to add the stamp set and memento ink pad. I will have a you tube video making all of the cards so you can follow me step by step.

I got to create today!!!

Amongst the craziness of staying home 24/7, home schooling my 3 boys, cuddling and walking my dogs and giving my husband the space he needs to teach on-line there has been almost no time to create. That changed today! Crafting does a ton for my anxiety so today I made it a must do on my list and I'm so glad I did. Today went waaaaaaay better than yesterday and I wasn't completely done by 3. I am even excited for tomorrow! 

It amazes me how healing and therapeutic crafting can be. So in all of this craziness, get crafty and get creative!!!

Kards for kindness are on their way!

I was too excited to wait (even though the mail won't be picked up until tomorrow around noon) so I walked to the mailbox and sent my Kards for Kindness on their merry little way! 

Some are traveling close and some are traveling farther but they are literally the only things allowed (or should be) travelling right now. I hope they bring smiles across the miles!!!

Kards for Kindness

So, I did my second live video yesterday for my friends and family on Facebook asking anyone who wanted me to send kindness in the mail to message me their address and it will be there shortly. I was shocked and amazed at how many people responded. My heart is so full!!! 

Sooooo, I spent my krafternoon choosing cards, writing in them, addressing them and sending them and I've never felt better. 

Kards for kindness will remain for as long as I am krafting!!!

The Adventure Begins!

Well, in light of the current pandemic I have been forced into on-lining my business.  I’m not going to lie, I’ve been looking into doing this for quite sometime I just never took the plunge.  So here I am now, you are all my witnesses...I’m Diving in!!!

So far I am just getting all of the necessary tools on-line and off.  So far I have found a payment venue, on-line store and laptop thanks to my friend Renato.  I have more work to do but I’m excited for this journey...time to go Next Level!
